The annual awards program recognizes suppliers
exemplifying “Best in Class” performance and going
“above and beyond” to meet Visteon's needs and expectations.
Selection criteria focused on supplier performance in terms
of quality, delivery, value, technical capability and customer
service. Supplier awards were granted for the following areas:
metals, non-metals, electronics, non-production goods and
services, transportation and exemplary minority supplier in
North America.
VIP award nominees undergo a thorough review
of their performance and business contributions by a global
cross-functional Visteon team, with inputs from manufacturing,
product development, supplier quality, customer business groups
and purchasing. Award recipients must achieve 100 percent
concurrence across all customer functions and operating regions
to confirm that they have demonstrated the high level of performance
that Visteon promotes within its supply base.

The National Quality Institute (NQI) today
announced the 2004 recipients of the highest honour granted
under the prestigious Canada Awards for Excellence (CAE) program.
