Car Wheels

One of the important aspects to a car is where the car touches the ground, at the wheels. Car wheels are important because they provide stability and movement, both in terms of deceleration and acceleration.  The wheels are also an important source of customization and a location for the car’s owner to exhibit their taste.

The transmission and engine, through the axel, is connected to the wheel and the tire. The differentiation between these two is important for the purposes of this piece. The tire is only the rubber and frame which can be disconnected from the wheel, o r the metallic or alloy centerpiece. Usually spokes or some form of three-dimensional connection is meant to give room to hallow out the majority of the interior of the wheel for the brakes. Either disc or drum brakes are housed in this hallow portion. Also the exterior nature of the wheel creates a canvas that the artist or investor can used to show what they want their car to be. Simple elegance, custom smoothness, speedy sharpness or any other alternative they wish to use.

Car wheels are generally not too expensive, although customized DUB wheels can be pricey. Some of the more expensive road racers will use magnesium alloy wheels although for safety reasons, they are banned from some motorsports in the United Kingdom. Because of the magnesium, the wheels have a propensity to catch fire and to stay burning at incredible temperatures as pure magnesium can reach 2500 degrees Fahrenheit.
